Please read more about the New FALL WISH KID CAMPAIGN –
The 2nd Annual Port Gardner Bay Winery Grape Stomp launched the FALL WISH KID CAMPAIGN Saturday, 9-21-19, with initial donations totaling over $1,000. The donations were made by the Everett Businesses and organizations that sponsored the Stomp Teams. (see above).
In order to sponsor three (3) WISHES, our GOAL, we must raise total donations of $30,000. ($10,000 / WISH.)
Between now and the December 7, 2019 Christmas Spectacular, the strategy of the Wish Kid Campaign is to find 100 Donors, who are willing to offer a three hundred dollar ($300) donations to the Dorothy Jayne Foundation. ALL donation checks – large or small – will be promptly deposited in the Dorothy Jayne Foundation (501c) and then transferred to Make-A-Wish of Alaska and Washington.
On Saturday night, 12-7-19, at the Everett Civic Auditorium, Melissa Arias, the CEO of Make-A-Wish of Alaska and Washington, will be introduced to the Christmas Spectacular audience for the first time by our Master of Ceremonies, Joe Marine.
In turn, Melissa will present a 6 year old Wish Kid, whose Wish for a trip to Disneyland has already been granted through a campaign like ours.
The little boy will offer the Campaign VICTORY Handshake to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Place Holders (onstage), who symbolize all the other Stompers as well as all the donors that made our Campaign a success.
Melissa Arias will encourage the audience to share the Campaign Victory Handshake” with each other. This is to remind everyone in the audience that “tonight we are all winners -not only for supporting Make-A-Wish but for bringing food donations to the theater and helping others less fortunate than ourselves over the holidays.
